Jim Eich, DMD

Dr. Jim Eich graduated Valedictorian of his dental class at Oral Roberts University in 1983. He practiced with the Indian Health Service in Montana, followed by 7 years in Lakeland, Florida, and has practiced here in Durango since 1992. He has been selected among “Colorado’s Best Dentists” for more than 17 years, an honor only bestowed on one other general dentist here during that time. He has been married since 1978 to the love of his life, Betsy, and they have three grown sons (all married) and 6 grandkids so far! He enjoys horseback riding, telemark skiing, road cycling, backpacking, paddle boarding, and hunting, among other things.

My name is Kassondra Padilla. I am native to Durango, I was born and raised here. I have 3 wonderful children that are my whole world. I have worked in dentistry since 2015 as a dental assistant, and I absolutely love it! I am so blessed to live in this amazing town, working for the best dentist, and get to be a part of such a wonderful team here at Oak Family Dentistry.

Marlene Perez

Marlene Perez – Dental Assistant

My name is Marlene Perez. I am one of Dr. Eich’s dental assistants. I have lived in Bayfield since 2014. I moved here from my home town Delta Colorado. My husband and I have been married since 2004. He has always traveled for work, when a permanent position opened up here we made the move. We have four children, three girls and one boy. We love to fish, camp, snowboard, ski, and are very involved in our chruch community. I have been in dentistry off and on since 2003. I took a little time off of work all together to raise my kids. Now that they are school aged I enjoy and am very blessed to work with Dr. Eich and the Oak Family Dentistry team.

Kristin Wiggins – Dental Hygienist

My name is Kristin Wiggins, I am a dental hygienist here at Oak Family Dentistry. In 2009 I received my BS in Dental Hygiene from the University of Colorado. I am originally from the east coast but have loved calling Colorado home for the past 18 years. My husband and I obtained EU citizenship allowing us to live abroad where we especially enjoyed southern Italy. We have a son and a daughter that keep us very busy. When I can, I practice yoga and dance Zumba. Ultimately, I love being a mom and enjoy Durango activities with my family.

My name is Kathy Stevenson. I was born and raised in North Platte, NE. I completed my bachelor of science in dental hygiene at the University of NE college of dentistry in 1995. I moved to Durango in the summer of 1995 wanting to live and play in the mountains. I have worked for Dr Eich since 2000. In my spare time I enjoy mountain biking, hiking, yoga, reading and spending time with my husband Chris and daughter Avery.

My name is Lisa Eckert. I grew up in the Denver area and completed my Dental Hygiene degree at Colorado Northwestern College in 1997. I lived in Glenwood Springs for a year before moving to Durango in 1998 where I met my husband. We have two children and feel so lucky to call Durango our home. I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, horseback riding, snowboarding, and just about anything outdoors. I’m so happy to be working with Dr. Eich and his wonderful team!

Adam Van Sickle – Dental Hygienist

My name is Adam Van Sickle. I am a registered dental hygienist. I graduated, valedictorian from San Juan College, NM. I joined the OFD team in 2023. Before falling in love with cleaning teeth and talking to people about toothpaste, I spent my working hours as a research librarian in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. These days, when I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my son, wife, and extended family, looking for any excuse to get outside and play.

Kelli Miller – Patient Care Coordinator

Hi! My name is Kelli Miller and I’m a Patient Care Coordinator at Oak Family Dentistry. My husband and I moved from the Texas Hill Country to Durango in 2022. I feel so lucky to get to enjoy the outdoors all year long here and around the Four Corners. I started working at Oak Family Dentistry in September 2024 and couldn’t be happier. It’s been amazing getting to work with the Oak Family Dentistry team and patients.

OUR LOCATION

Oak Family Dentistry is located at 450 South Camino del Rio off the East Frontage Road, in the two-story building between the building housing Big 5 Sporting Goods and the building housing 4 States Tire and Service. Please enter the building through the ground level double doors in the center front of the building, take the stairs or elevator upstairs, then follow the arrow to Oak Family Dentistry at the north end of the building to Suite 207.
